Threadlockers are special adhesives and locking agents used to reliably secure screws and threaded connections against loosening. Especially in vehicles, many screw connections are subjected to strong vibrations, temperature fluctuations, and mechanical stresses. A threadlocker prevents these connections from loosening during operation.

Most threadlockers are based on anaerobic adhesives that cure as soon as they are trapped between metallic threads and no longer have contact with oxygen. This creates a strong bond that secures the thread and completely fills any small gaps.

Depending on the application, thread locking devices are available in various strength levels – from removable locks for maintenance work to high-strength versions for permanent connections. They also protect threads from corrosion and prevent moisture ingress.
